A questionable specimen for a very questionable branch of natural history.
This whimsical natural-history print presents the Cockamouse as though it were a genuine zoological discovery, complete with anatomical annotations, specimen details, and the appropriately serious treatment of an extremely questionable creature. A subtle nod to one of the more bizarre running jokes from How I Met Your Mother.
Inspired by the wonderfully absurd tradition of Victorian scientific illustrations, it brings a little strange humor to a study, office, gallery wall, or reading space.
For those who recognize the specimen, the joke goes a little deeper.
