Filmmaker Whiskey Glass | We’ll Fix It in Pre-Production, 10.5 oz

The familiar line on set is “we’ll fix it in post.” This glass turns it around.

The white artwork wraps the front of a short, thick-based tumbler. Across the top, “We’ll Fix It In Pre-Production” is set in bold italic serif lettering beside a drawn portrait of a man in a suit looking upward and a clapperboard with its arm raised. Beneath that runs a four-frame storyboard strip in a film-strip border, drawn in a moody, rain-soaked style. The frames are labeled 1. Establishing, 2. Approach, 3. Reaction, and 4. Reveal. They show a man seen from behind, a figure walking down a wet street past a lamppost, a woman’s face in close-up, and a figure at the top of a staircase. A two-line quotation about planning at the desk closes the design, credited in the artwork to Alfred Hitchcock in a script signature. Hitchcock was famous for planning his films in detail on paper before shooting. If you’re stocking a shelf with film-themed pieces, here are more film-themed finds.

It suits filmmakers, directors, storyboard artists, film students, and fans of classic suspense cinema.
